The continent of Africa is one of the least taught of the world's geographical areas. It's teaching is blurred by stereotypical images. As a result, the two-week high school summer program is intended to offer a more accurate view of Africa's history, modern issues, and future. Students learn of the African culture through interactive study of African language, dance and music. In addition, University of Florida professors offer presentations about African history, geography, politics, culture, art and dance.
