Global Association of MDP


The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation has devoted $15 million to create MDP programs at up to 20 universities worldwide over the next three years. On June 30, 2009, the MacArthur Foundation announced the first round of 10 universities across the globe to receive significant grants to establish new MDP programs. UF was one of two US universities to receive this funding. Globally, there are 25 institutions and universities that offer a Master's in Development Practice Program. Columbia University serves as the secretariat for the global network of MDPs.
