Ph.D. (History), University of Florida, 1998. Associate Professor, Department of History and Political Science, Goshen College. She teaches World History, particularly Africa and the developing world, and conducts research on oral tradition, social identity and landscape memory in the western Serengeti, Tanzania. She previously did community development work for eleven years in Ethiopia, the Congo and Tanzania for the Mennonite Central Committee.
